Which is Ronaldo's best PFA Team of the Year?
It was announced on Thursday evening that Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has been named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for a fifth time in his iconic career.
The Portuguese returned to Old Trafford last summer for a second spell as a Red and, although it was a disappointing season for the team, there is no denying CR7’s outstanding contribution.
Ronaldo scored 24 goals across all competitions, won four Player of the Month trophies and was recently voted our Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year with a huge majority of the votes cast. Cristiano also picked up our Goal of the Season prize for his thunderbolt against Tottenham at Old Trafford.
The PFA Team of the Year is voted for by every Premier League player and CR7’s inclusion underlines the high regard with which he is held. As Cristiano recently told us, he isn’t finished yet: the 37-year-old is excited for the future under Erik ten Hag and hopes to achieve more success next season.
This is the fifth time that Ronaldo has been named in the PFA side and, remarkably, every player from his first two inclusions (2005-07) has now retired. Scroll down to see all of Ronaldo’s Teams of the Year and pay attention, because we are asking which is the best side in a poll at the end of this article...

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
Ronaldo recently thanked the United supporters following his first season back at the club and promised the Reds will be back winning trophies before long.
“It’s still my motivation to carry on working hard, to still love the passion for the game, and of course Manchester [United] and my team-mates help me all the way so I have to appreciate all the people who help Cristiano.
“It’s always nice to score goals for this club. When it is a hat trick it’s even more [nice].
“But the most important thing for me is to try to win the games and try to win some championship or some cup, but I believe that Manchester [United] will be where they belong. Sometimes it takes time, but I still believe.”
