Ten Hag names team to face Blades

Erik ten Hag has selected his Manchester United side to take on Sheffield United at Old Trafford.

The boss has made two changes to the XI that started the Emirates FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City at the weekend.

Scott McTominay picked up a knock and only makes the substitutes' bench, while Marcus Rashford will have to wait for his 400th senior Reds appearance, after he was also hurt at Wembley.

“We didn’t have so many options to, say, make rotation," Ten Hag told BBC Sport. "We don’t have so, although they have [played] 120 minutes, they have to do it again, and, on Saturday [against Burnley], they have to do it again.”

Our cameras have been by the players' entrance to capture United arriving for our return to Premier League action...

Christian Eriksen comes in for his first start since the game against his former club Tottenham in January, after he was introduced against the Sky Blues, and scored one of the penalties in the shootout.

Antony gets the nod for Rashford's place, presumably enabling Alejandro Garnacho to switch to the left flank.

Sofyan Amrabat is fit enough to make the bench, while Ethan Wheatley, two-goal hero in the 2-1 win over Manchester City in the Under-18s Premier League Cup final on Tuesday night, is one of the youngsters selected alongside him.

Defenders Harry Amass, Habeeb Ogunneye and Louis Jackson also in the squad.
